Named for the Magnum PI of Germany (you know, that cop from Tatort that had a stellar mustache), Schimanski is the reboot of the old Verboten which collapsed as the scandal riddled owners were carted off to the klink by real mustachioed badgemen.
But the scene and sound pretty much the same:
Massive space as techno-thump moves to Williamsburg in the hopes of shedding some of the less attractive party-guy and gal sentiments of Manhattan club scene.
Eclectic mix of EDM styles from party impresarios Jen Schiffer and John Perez. 10,000 square feet of space, several rooms where different DJs spin, eclectic crowd, expensive drinks, velvet ropes, discerning bouncers. You get the picture, which upon your 6am exit will be either razor sharp or decidedly blurry contingent on how you choose to fuel your fun.
